Teachman’s Take: Even Hotter Today

Temperatures are cranking up even more today.  After a steamy start in the middle 70s, we will have no problems stretching into the lower 90s this afternoon.  With the humidity factored in, it will feel as hot as 101 during the heat of the afternoon.  Skies will stay sunny to partly cloudy with strong winds from the south at 15 to 20 MPH.  Some gusts today could hit 25 MPH.

Here is the Heat Index Trend for today:

Unsettled conditions are still expected Wednesday through Friday as a front sags south.  Highs will fall from the upper 80s Wednesday to the lower 80s Friday.  The remnants of Hurricane Newton will be pushed in our direction by Friday.  By the weekend, skies will clear out and temperatures will be refreshing once again!  Highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s.  Overnight lows will dip into the 50s.

Take care,
