Suchan Says: Storms Fizzle, More Heat

Scattered strong to severe storms that moved out of southern Iowa into north central Missouri are weakening rapidly now and should be long gone shortly after midnight.

Storms weakening over Ray and Lafayette Counties in Missouri

Tuesday may start with patches of fog then turns sunny and very hot in the afternoon.  Temperatures will climb to near 91 and it will feel about 10 degrees hotter when you factor in the humidity.

Wednesday is another day in the upper 80s and frankly, Thursday and Friday should also be in the mid to upper 80s.  Normal high cools into the mid 70s by this weekend.

Other than a few isolated showers or storms in northeast Kansas to northwest Missouri Thursday morning, the truly next best chance for rain will occur over the back half of the weekend into early next week with our next cold front to push through.
