Williams’s Wrap: Warmer/Unsettled Days Ahead

Sunday starts with patchy fog and 50s, but as the sun continues to rise visibility will improve and temperatures will warm.  Highs are still on track to sit between the low to mid 70s.  Mostly to partly sunny skies will make the day more pleasing to the eyes.

Monday brings us another mostly to partly sunny sky with warmer highs in the upper 70s.  A few spots south of the Metro will have a good shot at hitting 80!  As a cold front approaches the area Tuesday, there will be a chance for showers/t-storms during the afternoon, evening, and especially through the night.

It’s been a while since we’ve brought out one of these.  The severe outlook above is mainly for the Tuesday afternoon/evening time period.  The slight risk over northeast Kansas is where there’s a better chance for stronger/severe storms.  So far, damaging hail and winds are the main threats.  It’s still early so things can change, but it’s also something to start thinking about.  More rain/t-storm chances follow Wednesday (mainly during the night) and through Thursday.
