Teachman’s Take: Early October Storms

Tuesday morning starts off on a breezy and cool note in the lower 60s.  Clouds will be on the increase through early afternoon.  Any showers or thunderstorms should stay to the north and west of the metro for the majority of the daylight hours.  After 7 PM, a line of stronger storms will push in from the west. There’s a slight chance some of these storms could briefly produce gusty winds or large hail before they weaken as the evening continues.  Overnight into Wednesday morning, these storms are expected to quickly push east.

Today’s Severe Outlook:

Late Wednesday, there is another chance for more storms.  And seeing as this front doesn’t clear the area too quickly, more scattered showers and thunderstorms with cloudy skies are expected through Thursday.  A few storms early Thursday could be strong with hail the primary threat.  Highs through Thursday will stay in the upper 70s.  By Friday, once the cold front advances far enough south, highs will drop into the lower 60s.  Sunshine returns over the weekend with mild highs in the middle to upper 60s.  Overnight lows will be chilly in the 30s & 40s.

Take care,

Teach
