Cloudy skies through tonight into Friday morning. A few patches of light rain will be possible through the middle of the night in the southern half of the area. Otherwise, sprinkles or a little mist will be possible Friday morning across all of the area with temperatures in the 40s to lower 50s.
The rest of Friday stays mostly cloudy but with little rain to plan around unless a random sprinkle pops up. Temperatures will climb into the upper 60s with a bit more humidity in the air as well. If heading out Friday evening, forecast looks pleasant with temperatures holding in the 60s.
A major warm up kicks in this weekend into Monday of next week! Saturday starts fairly cloudy then turns partly sunny and windy. This will allow temperatures to punch up to near 80! Sunday has mostly to partly sunny skies and is even warmer with 83 the official forecast high. It’s possible a couple spots could reach the mid 80s especially in eastern Kansas.
Monday is sunny, windy and simply hot! I’m forecasting a high of 87 but a few areas could challenge 90 degrees in the viewing area. The record high for the day in Kansas City is 88 set in 1950. It’s certainly within reach!
