The work week kicks off with unseasonably warm temperatures and dry skies. After a cool morning in the middle 40s, temperatures will warm to near 70 in the afternoon. Winds will be from the east/northeast at 8 to 12 MPH.
Changes arrive late Tuesday into Wednesday with a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Right now, chances for severe storms remains low. Tuesday northern Missouri has the best shot for picking up rain. By Wednesday, widespread showers and thunderstorms are possible particularly in the morning. It will turn drier by late Wednesday afternoon. Temps briefly rebound into the middle 70s on Tuesday and fall to the upper 60s — which is still above normal — by Wednesday. Sunshine returns Thursday through Sunday. Highs over the weekend will be near normal in the middle 60s.
