Teachman’s Take: 70s Today & Storms Overnight

Clouds have arrived and will be the thickest north of I-70 this morning.  A few slivers of sunshine possible south of the interstate.  There could be a random sprinkle or patch of drizzle north of the metro through afternoon.  Highs for Tuesday will be a lot warmer in the middle 70s!  Looks like the bulk of the rain comes in after midnight.  I can’t rule out the possibility of one or two storms having small hail or brief gusty winds as NE Kansas and NW Missouri are in a “Marginal Risk” for severe storms.  There is some instability to work with, but the greater likelihood of stronger storms will be just to the west of our viewing area.

Showers and thunderstorms will be around for the Wednesday morning commute.  The rain should quickly move east by Wednesday afternoon.  Sunshine returns Thursday through Monday of next week.  Highs will rebound into the 70s Thursday.  Friday’s high will be in the lower 80s!  Cooler but still sunny over the weekend with highs in the 60s.  Halloween still looks pretty good!  Clear skies with temps in the lower 60s for Trick-or-Treaters.
