It’s crazy to see the calendar says early November and yet just 2 to 3 hours ago we had a weakly rotating supercell thunderstorm producing 1″ to 2″ diameter hail!! That’s what happens when you have a very warm autumn and a cool front arrives.
At this time, conditions are much calmer but the window is still open for next several hours for additional showers or even a thunderstorm especially across the southern half of the area. Will we see another severe storm? Doubtful but clearly we cannot rule out a stronger storm with small hail again. Once the sun sets, it will go a long way to calm the atmosphere down after highs reached into the muggy 70s!
Later tonight, clearing skies and cooling down to near 50 by sunrise Thursday.
