Teachman’s Take: A Wintry Change
A powerful cold front is tracking across the area this morning. The days of the 70s and record-breaking heat are now behind us. We hit our high today in the 60s and 70s around midnight. Temps will continue to drop heading into the evening commute.
While the chilly air transport will slow down, we’re still expecting to be in the upper 30s by 7 PM.
Clouds will break overnight and temperatures will fall into the 20s – so a hard freeze is possible in parts of our viewing area. Cold northerly winds continue through Saturday with highs in the middle 40s under a mostly sunny sky. Even colder Sunday morning in the middle 20s. Highs try to recover for the Chiefs kickoff against Tampa, but remain cool with near average temps in the lower 50s. Warmer winds expected on Monday in the lower 60s. Rain will return Tuesday across the majority of the Storm Track 5 area. Take care, Teach
