Teachman’s Take: First Measurable Snowfall Today!

Cloudy and cold with snow developing this morning.  One of the biggest obstacles we are facing with this system is the dry air.  We’re trying to overcome it now and saturate the air.

You can expect to see flurries and light snow through 7 PM today.  With temperatures staying below freezing, any accumulation could cause slick travel.

Total snowfall accumulation through early evening will be in the neighborhood of a dusting to an inch.

Overnight, the skies will clear and temperatures will drop into the lower teens.  We’ll stay in the freezer both Friday and Saturday with highs in the 20s.  Lows going into Friday morning will be in the single digits.  Temperatures start to warm over the weekend with highs in the 30s and 40s.  There’s a chance for rain and snow Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
Take care,
