Teachman’s Take: Still In The Freezer With A Weekend Wintry Mix

Even colder temperatures are expected at the bus stop this morning.  Temperatures are in the single digits with wind chills below zero!  This afternoon, while it will remain below freezing, temperatures are starting to warm back up.  Highs will be in the upper 20s with partly cloudy skies.

Over the weekend, clouds will thicken on Saturday and highs will finally get back above freezing.  On Sunday, there is a chance for rain and/or snow.  The timing of the start of the rain is critical.  Temps will be near freezing and there could be some isolated slick spots for Sunday AM services.

As temps will warm, everything should transition over to rain.  But, there could be a few flurries mixing in closer to the MO/IA state line.

Next week there is an aggressive cold front pinpointed for Tuesday & Wednesday.  This will produce light snow and colder temps.  Highs drop into the 20s with lows in the single digits.

Take care,
