Even though Saturday will start off cold with temperatures in the 20s, highs won’t be as cold as the past few days. Mostly cloudy skies keep the sun hidden with a slight chance for a few flurries, especially for areas north of the Metro. We’ll warm up into the mid/upper 30s during the afternoon.
Clouds and a south wind will hold temperatures in the low 30s Saturday night and they’ll start to warm up early Sunday morning. But a chance for rain in the Metro will bring the chance for a wintry mix for areas to our north as temperatures through Sunday morning continue to hover around freezing. Roads north of St. Joseph and 36 Highway will require cautious navigation Sunday morning as slick/icy spots could develop. Highs will be even warmer, reaching the low 40s.
