Teachman’s Take: Get Ready For Another Cool Down

Highs will be in the lower 40s with light winds from the south at 5 to 10 MPH.

Another push of colder air arrives on Tuesday.  While I can’t rule out a passing flurry as the colder air takes over, this front looks pretty dry.  Highs will drop into the lower 30s with lows in the teens and lower 20s.

Temps stay cold through the rest of the work week with highs in the 20s and lows in the teens.  We could even drop into the single digits early Thursday morning.  We are tracking our next storm system that arrives on Friday.

Winds on Friday will be STRONG and there is a chance for rain.  Due to the strong flow of southerly winds, we may see the majority of this system as rain.  Temps will start to crash going into Saturday morning, changing any moisture over to a wintry mix.  Heaviest snow accumulations going into Saturday will be up in Iowa, but we could see some light snow along the MO/IA state line.  This storm is still several days away and it’s one to watch!

Take care,
