The last work day of 2016 will be windy and warm. Southwest winds will be rather brisk on Friday combining with a mostly sunny sky sending afternoon temperatures into the lower to middle 50s across our area. You can expect a very rapid temperature rise through the day as temperatures work above freezing before 9:00 AM.
Saturday will offer a significant cool down with highs barely reaching into the 40s but the wind will settle down. That compromise will make the final day of 2016 a pretty nice one. New Year’s Eve will offer a cold evening for those heading out to celebrate. Temperatures will drop to freezing by the middle of the evening and into the 20s as we ring on 2017.
Enjoy the next few days because Arctic air will invade our space next week. I’ll have much more to say about that tomorrow!
