Tuesday morning will start with considerable cloudiness and a few leftover sprinkles. Temperatures will dip below freezing from 7am – 10am then only climb back to 34 in the afternoon with partly sunny skies. Winds will be gusty from the northwest 15 – 25mph with higher gusts.
Wednesday has some sunshine but you will notice increasing mid to high level clouds filtering in during the afternoon. Highs only reach 24. By late evening Wednesday skies turn cloudy and patchy light snow will develop after 8pm.
Patchy snow will move through Wednesday night and should push out of the area early Thursday. As I see it now, this would be a very dry powdery snow with a “snow to liquid ratio” of 17:1 or possibly 20:1 given Arctic cold in place. So a quick hitting dusting to 2″ snow appears possible.
This would create some travel impacts Wednesday night to early Thursday morning.
