Suchan Says: 12:45am Snow Update

radar

Snow continues across much of the area but breaks in the shield of snow are moving into northeastern Kansas and heading east to southeast over next couple of hours.  By the middle to back half of the night, the bulk of the leftover snow showers will be found in the southern half of the viewing area.

Snowfall amounts thus far range from 1″ to 2.50″ although a few spots will certainly close in or exceed 3″.

Roads are covered and hazardous which will change little first thing in the morning.  We should see some measure of improvements later in the day Thursday especially if we can get into breaks of sun despite the fact the temperature may struggle to get back into the upper teens.

satellite

Area of snow in northwestern Kansas to move southeast late tonight. Could scrape across our southern tier counties between 3am – 6am
