Teachman’s Take: From Brutal Temps To A Better Weekend

It’s cold — and that’s an understatement!  Temps will be near zero this morning with wind chills between -15 and -20.

Temps at 7 AM:

And what you get for a Wind Chill with light winds below 6 MPH:

Definitely dangerous for kids at the bus stop and any outdoor pets.  Roads could be a big problem this morning with snow packed side streets and black ice.  Full sunshine today will help out the roads, but the snow won’t melt.  Our high will only be 18.

With this fresh snow pack, it will be slow to warm up over the next 24.  We’ll stay below freezing until Sunday.  And Sunday for that matter is just barely above freezing.  Skies will be quiet over the weekend.  Next week comes the warm up that can’t come soon enough!  Temps hop back into the 40s by Monday and could briefly touch the 50s on Wednesday. There is a slim chance for rain on Tuesday.

Take care,

Teach
