Suchan Says: Soggy Night

Sprinkles and light showers around the area this evening

A developing and strengthening area of low pressure will track well south of the area overnight into Sunday morning.  The track of this system however is just close enough to throw a light patchy rain across the area straight through the overnight forecast.  Fortunately temperatures remain safely above freezing.  Roads are only wet if traveling later tonight or first thing in the morning.

Sunday morning still looks cloudy with some patchy rain.  Drier conditions build in by late morning with even a few pokes of sun possible into the afternoon with patchy clouds.  It will turn breezy and run much cooler than Saturday’s 50s with lower to mid 40s much more common.

Monday looks great with mostly sunny afternoon skies and highs in the mid to upper 40s.  Tuesday will bring the next cold front into the area late day.  Ahead of this front, temperatures warm well into the 50s and quite possibly 60 for some spots especially to the southeast of Kansas City.

As the cold front moves in, some showers or even a stray thunderstorm will be possible.  Seasonably cold air returns for the rest of the week behind that cold front.
