Teachman’s Take: Our Return To Winter

Winter’s back!  Temps this morning will fall into the lower 30s and struggle to warm up this afternoon into the upper 30s.  Winds will be strong from the north at 15 to 25 MPH.  Some gusts could reach up to 30.  This will make for wind chills in the teens and 20s.

There is a storm system traveling by and will keep snow in Nebraska and Iowa.  We may see some of this light snow close to the MO/IA state line through this afternoon.  Can’t rule out the metro seeing a flurry or two under mostly cloudy skies.

Winter sticks around with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens/20s through Friday.  Temps try to rebound over the weekend into the 40s.  We could also hit the 50s early next week.  After today’s system in the Midwest, I’m seeing fairly quiet weather into much of next week that will give us mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Take care,
