Teachman’s Take: Monday Thunder And Showers

Cloudy with drizzle/mist developing today.  Temps should be just above freezing this morning, so I’m not expecting any slick conditions.  Scattered showers are possible for the evening commute and even a little thunder east of KC.  Temps will be unseasonably warm in the 50s and 60s.

There could be a few weaker storms southeast of KC that could produce small hail after the bulk of the evening commute.

South of the I-44 Corridor, thunderstorms are likely by evening.  Some of these storms in southern Missouri could produce large hail and damaging winds.

Looking ahead, lots of changes are expected with temperatures.  Warm on Tuesday near 60 with sunshine returning.  Colder with snow showers Wednesday into Thursday.  I’m expecting the majority of the snow to track right along the Missouri/Iowa state line.  And then by Friday and lingering through the weekend, temps jump back into the 50s and 60s.  A few showers are possible on Saturday.

Take care,
