Teachman’s Take: First Day of Meteorological Spring
Today is the first day of Meteorological Spring. But, it doesn’t feel like it. It is colder and the winds will remain breezy until sundown. Temps this morning have detoured back to the 30s as clouds clear.
Mostly sunny this afternoon with highs in the lower 50s. Winds will be gusting to 20 MPH. Once the winds ease tonight combined with clear skies, frosty conditions will settle in with lows in the 20s.
A sunny stretch of weather is expected from Thursday into the weekend. Temps Thursday and Friday will climb from the lower 50s to the upper 50s to end the work week. Over the weekend, the winds pick up and we’ll once again have a concern for grass fires come Saturday. Highs on Saturday will be warm in the upper 60s. Highs for Sunday are even warmer in the middle 70s. Our next chance for rain arrives on Monday and we could have a rumble or by by late afternoon. Highs stay in the 70s until another cooler drop by Tuesday into the 50s.
