Teachman’s Take: Red Flag Warning

We’re under a Red Flag Warning again today, so NO BURNING!  Cold temps to start in the middle 30s.  Winds will be light initially and pick up as the afternoon goes on.  Sunshine dominates today with a high of 68.  Winds will be sustained from the southwest at 10-15 MPH and gusting to 25.

Thursday will be just as warm near 70.  There is a chance for showers and a few thunderstorms by evening.  These storms aren’t expected to be too rowdy.  Most of Friday will be dry, but much colder!  Highs will be knocked down into the upper 40s.
Heading into Saturday morning, rain and snow are both likely.  And there could be light accumulations of snow with better bets in northern Missouri.  It’s a storm to watch as temperatures have continued to fall as I’ve been forecasting them this week.  Temps will be in the middle 30s for Saturday.  Sunshine is briefly back for Sunday with highs in the lower 40s.  There’s another quick moving system next Monday that could also bring us a chance for rain and/or snow.  Temps will be in the 30s and 40s.  Once it leaves, temps quickly warm back up into the 50s.
Take care,
Teach
