Teachman’s Take: Soggy Start To The Week
April 3, 2017

Expect showers and thunderstorms for the rest of the morning.  Nothing is expected to be severe, but it will be enough to cause slowdowns on the roadways.

These showers will linger through the lunch hour and start to taper during the evening drive.

Temperatures will hold steady in the 50s for much of the day as winds kick up this afternoon from the north/northwest at 5 to 15 MPH.

More wet weather for Tuesday.  The AM commute looks dry, but showers and thunderstorms will spread across the area by the lunch hour.  They will pick up in intensity by evening and through the overnight.

Wednesday morning will also be wet with more rain.  The greatest severe threat for Tuesday stays south of the I-44 corridor in Missouri.

Decent rainfall amounts expected through late Wednesday in the neighborhood of 2″ to 3″!  There may be some minor flooding to a few rivers around the area.

While there’s a slight chance for a random shower on Thursday, we’ll start to clear out and finally see some sunshine!  Temperatures will be frosty going into Thursday and Friday mornings.  Over the weekend as sunshine dominates, temps will soar back into the 70s.  Storms will return next Monday morning.  We’ll have to watch the Royals Home Opener.  Showers may taper just in time for the 3:15 PM first pitch.

Take care,

Teach
