Williams’s Wrap: Saturday Sun & Sunday Storms

Warm and windy will be the weather story this weekend. Mild morning temperatures will shoot into the mid/upper 70s by the afternoon. Expect mostly sunny skies through the day. Include some outdoor time in your Saturday plans but gusty winds will be a nuisance. “Light jacket conditions” continue into the evening and well after the sun goes down.

Sunday starts mostly cloudy with stronger winds as gusts near 35mph. Highs once again reach the mid/upper 70s. Towards the late afternoon and evening a few thunderstorms are possible.

Anything that develops will be a quick mover and also bring the threat of damaging winds and large hail. Anyone who plans to attend the Sporting KC game should bring rain gear and keep an eye to the sky.

Beside the possibility of a leftover morning shower on Monday, the Royals home opener at Kauffman Stadium is in good shape. Mild and breezy at first pitch!
