Teachman’s Take: From Fall To Summer In 3…2…1

There will be intervals of sunshine and clouds today — but count on more sunshine than anything else.  Winds will be kicking up this afternoon from the south/southeast at 10 to 15 and gust to 25.

After 5 PM, a shower or a storm could move into NW MO and track along the MO/IA state line through sundown.

The rain fades long before it even thinks about approaching the “K”.  The Royals game will be mild, so forget about taking a jacket with you even after sunset.

A long stretch of unsettled weather is upon us.  It still doesn’t look like it will be raining all the time and it won’t be a weekend washout.  Rain for Thursday arrives toward evening.  This looks to arrive just after the Royals finish their game.  I’m not expecting severe storms.  Better rain chances settle in for the Friday morning commute.  Friday evening looks dry!

Over the weekend, planning Easter egg hunts and Sunday Sunrise Services will need to be monitored.  While a shower cannot be ruled out Saturday morning, there is a better chance for storms by afternoon and evening.  I wouldn’t be surprised if a few of these were a little stronger.  There is a good chance the majority of this will be swept away before dawn on Sunday.  However, a lingering shower or storm could still be possible southeast of KC early in the day.  The rest of Sunday looks quiet with a sun/cloud mix.

Next week, more showers and storms are possible from Monday through Wednesday.  Highs will stay warm in the 70s.  Overnight lows will be mostly in the 50s.
Take care,
Teach
