Teachman’s Take: Summer Storms Ahead
April 13, 2017

More clouds than sunshine today.  Winds will be lighter from the southwest at 5 to 15 MPH.  Temps will rise to the upper 70s this afternoon.

After 4 PM, there is a chance for a spotty shower or storm, mainly north of I-70.

Better rain chances arrive after midnight and continue to ramp up through the Friday morning commute.

After a rainy start Friday, drier conditions push in through the afternoon and evening.

The game at the “K” looks great Friday evening!

Over the weekend, storms chances will remain…….

It still looks like a random shower could be floating around Saturday morning.  Late in the afternoon and through the evening, a stronger line of storms will develop.  This line could be strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds — not to mention heavy rain.

This should push out by dawn on Sunday, allowing morning services to be held outside.  The ground may be muddy and it will be cloudy, but at least it will be drier.  There are still several chances for storms lined up next week from Monday through Thursday.  By Friday, this stormy stretch will move out and cooler sunshine will return.  Highs will stay mainly in the upper 60s and lower 70s for the next week.  No major shots of colder air until the end of next week.

Take care,
