Williams’s Wrap: Wednesday Night Storms

Model guidance continues to push the timing of storms back. Overall, the brunt of Wednesday night’s event will likely be between 8pm and 2am.

NW MO could see all modes of severe weather, including a tornado or two. Mainly between 8pm and 11pm. Extreme NW MO (Atchison, Holt, and Nodaway counties) is under a Tornado Watch until 10pm Wednesday night.

It’s looking like the Metro won’t see any thunderstorms until after midnight. To be specific, between 1am and 2am is when they should start to move in. Damaging winds and hail will be possible during the overnight in the Metro. Storms will continue to move out through the rest of the night (while slowly weakening) and should be out of the viewing area by early Thursday morning.
