April 29, 2017

Now that weekend showers are here, they’re not going anywhere. Which means there’s a threat of flash flooding in the area. Mainly for counties south and east of the Metro. Counties highlighted in green could see 3-4″ of rain by Sunday evening. If you come across a flooded roadway this weekend, remember, “Turn Around, Don’t Drown”.

Severe weather isn’t expected but we’ll hear rumbles of thunder at times Saturday. By Sunday morning, rain won’t be as heavy or as widespread, but we’ll still have a chance of scattered showers through the day. Temperatures over the weekend will be chilly in the low to mid 50s before they warm back up through next week.
