Williams’s Wrap: Wednesday Storms Update

Skies are clearing across the area and with a strong storm system still in the region, our viewing area will have another chance of strong storms Wednesday afternoon. All modes of severe weather will be possible, including a couple tornadoes.

Timing will be between 1pm and 5pm. Short range weather models agree on this time frame too (see slides above). Storm development will take place over NE KS and storms quickly move northeast through the viewing area. By 3pm they’ll be mainly north of the Metro, and by 5pm there could be a couple leftover showers on the outskirts of the northern half of the viewing area but mostly everyone will be in the clear by that time. Keep an eye to the sky, stay weather aware, have a way to receive warnings, and have a plan!
