Williams’s Wrap: Sunny Sunday, Then More Rain/T-Storms

Much more sunshine in store for Sunday. Cooler than normal temperatures continue though with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. An afternoon breeze will keep winds at 10 to 15 mph.

Changes move in Monday in the form of rain and t-storms. The morning commute will be wet, mainly after 6am and especially for areas north. A few rumbles move through during the morning hours and into midday. A few more showers are possible during the early part of the afternoon. We should be able to catch a break until we start to near the evening.

A cold front over NE and northern KS arrives around sunset and brings another chance for storms. Some could be strong to severe and bring some hail and damaging winds. The severe threat is mainly for NE KS and NW MO. Any storms that develop will approach the Metro closer to midnight but will be weaker. The overnight looks pretty quiet before another rain chance Tuesday.
