Williams’s Wrap: Dangerous Heat & More Storms

download (3)

After overnight and even a few early morning storms, many of us are left dry but with an overcast sky. We’ll see partial clearing into the afternoon but limited sunshine won’t be a problem for area high temperatures. Mid/upper 90s will feel like 100+ for much of the area. The high heat and humidity has prompted an Excessive Heat Warning for the Kansas City Metro. Once that expires storm chances go up.

Between 7pm and 1am is when the area could see strong/severe storms, bringing a large hail and damaging wind threat. Frequent lightning too. Storms/showers taper through the night and lead to a mostly sunny and very comfortable Father’s Day. Highs Sunday cool down into the low 80s.
