Amble’s Ramble

I don’t know about you but it sure seems like the 4th got here in a hurry. I think it’s because our Spring rains have kept everything looking green so Kansas City has the appearance of Early June instead of the stressed lawn look of early July. This post will focus on Tuesday the 4th. I know there are activities going on today but this is a focused look ahead to Independence Day. There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms as the heat of the day arrives in the afternoon. The 5:00 PM hour is likely the prime hour for storms in our area:

Later in the evening those rain chances will diminish leaving only a few isolated chances for showers and thunderstorms:

When most of the pyrotechnic celebrations are going off the only thing in the sky that makes noise will be the fireworks. Showers and thunderstorms will be limited to just an isolated small chance with almost every location in our area staying quiet …except for the booms and pops of local fireworks.

Along with only an isolated chance for a shower the wind will be gentle favoring a southeasterly direction as temperatures remain comfortable from sunset through Midnight.

Have a safe and wonderful 4th everyone!
